We recently changed our donation policy. Previously, we did not accept donations from the public, but only from our close disciples. Nor did we solicit donations publicly. The idea was that to support the mission financially was a privilege available only to committed students of the Esoteric Teaching who understood the spiritual power and necessity of performing karma-yoga for attaining liberation from material existence and karma.

Now, however, our work is bearing tangible fruit in the shape of our Master Course Wilderness Retreat, so we feel that the time is appropriate to open up the privilege of patronage to a wider public. There are many intelligent people who appreciate our work, and would like to support it, but who for one reason or another cannot become a disciple, or even a member of our community. Why should we withhold the tremendous spiritual benefits of sacrifice in karma-yoga from them?

So we have added a PayPal Donation button to the sidebar of the main site, and also to the main page of the Course Center. All donations are accepted with our deepest gratitude, and considered credits toward your participation in the Master Course Wilderness Retreat.

We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to participate in this great spiritual community experiment. Such an intensive, high-quality ashram experience has never before been available outside of India, and even there it is a rarity. My spiritual Master Srila Prabhupada always dreamed of a 'new Vrndavan,' a place of pure spiritual pastimes unsullied by materialistic concerns, organizational politics and doctrinal competition. Although such a transcendental environment is difficult to create, it is a necessity for serious spiritual advancement and the deep meditative lifestyle that leads to authentic enlightenment.

Our solution is to go to to an ecologically pristine location in southern Mexico and establish a wilderness camp specifically for deep meditation leading to complete self-realization. Participants will bring their own tent, sleeping bag and other personal effects. They will fly in to a nearby city, then we will drive them to our retreat in a comfortable 4x4 off-road vehicle.

This is a special program for serious students of the Esoteric Teaching to live in a pure natural environment, associate with Babaji and his closest disciples, and perform serious, uninterrupted devotional service under his affectionate guidance and careful supervision. The Lake Camp and Retreat Center are now ready to receive visitors.

A typical day’s program is as follows:

• 2 hours before sunrise: rise, take bath in lake or waterfall, chant japa.
• Just before sunrise: chant Gayatri mantras, Mangal-arati.
• Sunrise: Surya-namaskaram, yoga stretches.
• Just after sunrise: chant Sri Visnusahasranama, class & discussion.
• Early morning: chant japa in the sun.
• Late morning: swimming.
• Just before noon: prepare lunch offering.
• Noon: chant Gayatri mantras, Raj-bhoga arati, take prasadam.
• Early afternoon: chores, business, errands, Internet.
• Late afternoon: swim, catnap, relax.
• Just before sunset: prepare dinner offering.
• Sunset: chant Gayatri mantras, Sayana arati, take prasadam.
• After sunset: class & discussion.
• Evening: chant japa until rest.

Lake Catemaco in Veracruz is a deliciously beautiful ecologically pristine location. Rental cabins are available for those without experience in or inclination for wilderness camping, but the main site is our wilderness camp near the lakeshore. We have beautiful Gaura-Nitai Deities from India and worship Them daily. This is a special opportunity for deep chanting and sadhana based on the Esoteric Teaching of the Vedas, without the materialistic distractions and pollution of urban environments or the unnecessary complications of religious communities.

You will be expected to make a commitment for at least one month, bring your own camping gear and other necessities, and cover the expenses for your food and transportation. If you require a cabin, you will have to pay the rent. However, the charges are very reasonable: US$500 per month or less even for cabin accommodations. We are not running a profit-making tourist operation, but a serious esoteric spiritual school. This is not a place for your personal dramas, but a rare opportunity to make significant spiritual advancement in the association of a self-realized soul.
