Has it already been a month since our last newsletter? Time sure flies when we’re engaged in the adventures of devotional service, playing our parts in the beautiful preaching pastimes of Lord Caitanya. There’s really nothing that compares to bhakti as a way of life, and that’s why we put our hearts into sharing this with the world in the earnest hope that everyone takes it up. So here are the updates and goodies from last month (there’s quite a few, and some will likely make you sit up and pay attention!):

Five New Apps Launched!

We have released five new apps, taking our tally to fifteen apps on transcendental spiritual life.

• Bhagavad-gītā: A collection of seven video talks by Bābājī on Śrīla Prabhupāda’s ‘Bhagavad-gītā As It Is’. Transcriptions and audio (MP3) versions of the talks are also included. The app also includes an in-depth study guide to the Bhagavad-gītā, compiled by Mukuteśvara dāsa under Bābājī’s guidance. An invaluable resource for anyone interested in the Bhagavad-gītā.

• Sermon on the Mount: Five video seminars, with transcriptions and MP3 versions included. Disciples meet at a mountain lodge in Mexico to hear from their spiritual Master Teacher about the famous “Sermon on the Mount.” This is a very esoteric passage. Most pastors never preach on it, because they would have to say things that most churchgoers just don’t want to hear. But for the sincere student of spiritual life, it contains incomparable riches of truth. David Bruce Hughes speaks in a secluded, intimate setting about the real meaning of this well-known but little-understood Bible passage.

• University of Vedic Knowledge: As the premier online community for spiritual education, we are sensitive to the needs of our students. Daily schedules can be hectic and the internet is not always reliable. We have put together these courses so you can study in your own time, on your own schedule, and with or without an internet connection.

• Ocean in a bucket: What is the science behind chanting? Why are things changing rapidly? What is Jyotish? How can I transcend the material word? If you’re looking for a condensed overview of the Esoteric Teaching, this is the app for you. Gaurahari Dāsānudās Bābājī gives a series of energetic and engaging discourses covering a wide-range of topics.

• Healing the Soul: Healing the Soul is a series of enlightening discourses given by Gaurahari Dāsānudās Bābājī to an audience of holistic healthcare providers. These comprehensive discussions provide an overview of the science of Āyurveda and its relation to the original Vedic context.

Interviews with Devotees

In the spirit of reaching out more personally, we recorded some intimate and insightful interviews with the devotees in our vaidhī-bhakti training āśram. If you’ve ever wondered about what goes on in here, how we live, what the experience is like for someone new who comes here, the struggles, the highs and the lows, then these candid interviews should answer many of your questions—and maybe inspire some new questions too! The lives of devotees are always exciting and interesting, and we hope these interviews give you a taste for it.

Plans to Start a Community in North America

Yes, you read that correctly. After over three years of carefully educating and training up students in the art and science of the Esoteric Teaching, the time has now come when we want to establish a center in North America. Plans are afoot to send a highly competent team of dedicated devotees to set up an independent community based on the principles of the Esoteric Teaching. We do not want to grow into anything resembling a hierarchical corporate church. Instead, we envision a future that consists of close-knit networks of small, intimate, self-sufficient communities based on common spiritual values—and we’re stepping up to show the example. Several of our friends across the world have responded to our proposal with overwhelming support and inspiration, which makes it clear to us that this is a gap that really needs to be filled.

Bābājī’s Morning Walk Recordings

After a brief hiatus from his hectic recording schedule, Bābājī has now come out with a series of fantastic talks recorded during his early morning walks at 5:30AM. Accompanied by a few of his disciples, Bābājī opens up and shares his insights on God, love, rāgānugā-bhakti (spontaneous love of God), his inner life, the spiritual path, the spiritual state of the world, the trials of being a spiritual master, the future of spiritual education, music and much, much more. If you want an idea of how a self-realized soul looks upon life and the world, these recordings will satisfy that desire.

Morning Classes at the Āśrama

It has been a while since we posted recordings of our classes here at the āśrama. So last month we went on a recording spree, uploading several of our morning classes given by the devotees here. Learning to present, teach and preach is a part of the training we impart at the Esoteric Teaching Āśram, and these videos capture that training.

We’ve been posting the videos on our university forums and discussing them there, but here’s a link to a playlist that contains most of the recordings from last month. Here’s another playlist with some of the informal music lessons conducted at the āśram.

I’m pleased to announce the release of the Bhagavad-gītā app! Bābājī recorded a series of introductory videos on it and a study guide prepared by Mukuteśvara dāsa prabhu. We have also included the PDF for each chapter for portability.
